It dismays me to see the large U.S. cruise ships finally arriving in Cuba. Not least, once ashore the passengers need to eat… and many of the best restaurants have suddenly been booked to exclusively serve them, forcing long-loyal tour groups to be ousted.

Worse is yet to come.

However, small expedition cruises pose no such issue. Thus it is with great delight that this week I accepted an invitation from Lindblad Expeditions to act as Cultural Specialist for Cuba aboard the luxurious 44-passenger M/S Panorama II yacht on the company’s exciting 11-day program, to be introduced this winter.

Lindblad Cuba

The itinerary is packed with enthralling cultural encounters. Plus, Lindblad has been granted a unique privilege of exploring the pristine coral reef systems of the Parque Nacional Jardines de la Reina.

See Anderson Cooper’s magnificent video about the Jardines de la Reina…

I’ll be lecturing and acting as cultural expert on three cruises:

December 14-24, 2016
February 8-18, 2017
March 22-April 1, 2017

PLEASE JOIN ME!

Plus, I’ll lecture for UK-based deluxe cruise operator Noble Caledonia aboard the 100-passenger M/S Serenissima as it semi-circumnavigates Cuba on an 11-night cruise, “Cuban Delights,” 23 February – March 5, 2017.
