The location is ideal! Located in the very heart of the Vedado district, just three blocks from the Hotel Habana Libre, the University of Havana, plus the main bank and telephone exchange, and only a 30-minute walk from Habana Vieja (Old Havana), our beautifully maintained two-bedroom apartment, built in 1954, is a perfect home from home during your stay in Havana. The junction of La Rampa (Avenida 23) and Calle L is considered the epicenter of the city, and in the 1950s was the location for the city’s top hotels, banks, airline offices, and finest nightclubs. It still is!
Casa de Jorge Coalla Potts is in a quiet and secure neighborhood, just half a block from a quiet park and with secure parking nearby. Many of the city’s main sites are just a few minutes walk away, including the Hotel Nacional, the Malecón, Plaza de la Revolución, and (perhaps, most importantly) Coppelia ice cream park. Plus, many of the city’s finest paladares (private restaurants), are only a short stroll.

Jorge Coalla Potts and his wife Marisel (“Mari”) are a delight! Both are English-speakers, while their daughter Jessica and her husband Alejandro, who live in the same building, are fluent in English. The family are dedicated to ensuring your comfort and happiness. I have stayed with this family dozens of times during the past 25 years and became part of their family, thanks to their caring hospitality. Each of the two spacious air-conditioned bedrooms has a double bed with a firm, orthopedic mattress for your guaranteed comfort, a ceiling fan, a private telephone, and a modern private washroom, plus access to a refrigerator to store your own beverages and snacks. Mari will prepare a delicious breakfast on request, to be enjoyed in the lounge, with its quintessential Cuban sillones (rocking chairs) and TV.
